Gamesman to celebrate at ICE

Acquisition by Esterline has been the ice-ing on the cake for Gamesman.

UK.- Gamesman, the UK-based gaming equipment components and systems manufacturer, will be celebrating five years as part of the Esterline Corporation when it welcomes international visitors to its stand N3-426 at ICE London (6th – 8th February, ExCeL Exhibition Centre). The acquisition by Esterline, a leading speciality manufacturer serving the aerospace, defence and industrial markets, was confirmed to international gaming media from the Gamesman stand at ICE 2013 and ushered in a new era for the company which was formed in 1996.

Reflecting on the last five years, Martin Rigby, Gamesman’s Sales Director, said: “When we announced the acquisition we said that Gamesman’s customers would continue to benefit from our technology products and they should look forward to new and relevant innovations gained from the combined research and development efforts of both companies, and to be totally honest that’s exactly what’s happened.”

“I would describe the purchase as being a classic ‘win win’ situation for our customers. Esterline have left us to get on and do what we do best, which is to build relationships throughout the world and deliver exceptional gaming solutions many of which are bespoke. The contribution made by our parent company has been immense. In order to remain in pole position and to stay ahead of the market, our business strategy has been to leverage the assets of our Esterline partners, notably the touch screen division. I would say that Esterline’s influence has helped make us more efficient across the board and there’s no doubt that we go to ICE 2018 as a strong global business in our own right and with the strong financial backing of our parent company.”

Looking forward to ICE, an exhibition that Gamesman regard as their ‘home show’, Martin Rigby said: “ICE is very much a barometer for the international industry based on its ability to attract gaming professionals from what appears to be every corner of the globe. This means that we can engage with our customers in every region and every jurisdiction at an event that’s actually on our doorstep. Even on a practical level the benefits that brings us are immense.”

“In addition ICE has very rapidly become the world’s leading gaming technology event. This really is Gamesman’s key strength where we have earned a strong reputation for creating fantastic, contemporary designs incorporating the very latest technologies. One US gaming commentator recently said that ICE was like stepping into the future and I think the big conversations in London will centre around the deployment of technology across every facet of machine design. Take Toppers for example, where features such as size and customisation will be joined by connectivity as a prerequisite with Wifi built in, the ability to communicate across multiple devices, as well as synchronise lighting sequences which, incidentally is something Gamesman already offers as an option.” he added.

Gamesman’s Sales Director said: “Technology is the driver of gaming innovation and our role at ICE will be to meet with our partners, explain our thinking on key opportunities and prepare the ground work in order to deliver creative solutions to their specific issues. ICE is exhilarating and exhausting in equal measure as well as being fundamental to the development of the international gaming industry.”
