UKGC suspends Lotteries.com licence

UK Gambling Commission suspends operator’s licence due to AML and social responsibility concerns.

UK.- Lotteries.com has had its licence suspended by the UK Gambling Commission due to potential anti-money laundering and social responsibility failings.

International Multi-Media Entertainments Limited, which operates the lottery betting site Lotteries.com, had its permit suspended with immediate effect while the regulator undertakes a full review of its business and practices.

“The suspension is due to anti-money laundering practices and ongoing social responsibility concerns we have with the operator,” the UKGC said in a statement.

“We have instructed the operator to ensure that it facilitates customers’ accessing their accounts to withdraw any funds and we remain in contact with them regarding the need for clear and updated messaging for consumers,” the Commission added.
