Formula 1 signs new agreement with Allwyn
The sponsorship extension will include new initiatives.
UK.- It’s been a big week for Allwyn. The Czech gambling giant completed its merger with OPAP to launch on the Greek stock exchange and announced that it had completed a major milestone in its UK National Lottery modernisation.
The group has also announced that it’s renewed its sponsorship arrangement with Formula 1, signing a fresh multi‑year agreement. The expansion of the deal comes with some new initiatives. Allwyn will now feature in Formula 1 Predict, allowing fans to forecast race outcomes, while a new Allwyn League will offer prizes such as race tickets, Paddock Club access and exclusive memorabilia.
Allwyn branding will appear during the formation lap at selected races, while the Formula 1 Allwyn Global Community Awards, launched in 2025, will double its reach in 2026, supporting up to eight organisations in host cities.
The 2025 Formula 1 season drew 827 million fans and a television audience of 1.8 billion. Allwyn is among several gambling operators with ties to the sport. Betway was recently announced as the sport’s first official betting operator in a multi‑year deal. Allwyn has also collaborated with McLaren through a branding partnership.
Emily Prazer, Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “We’re delighted to be extending and enhancing our partnership with Allwyn, benefitting our fans and the communities where we race. Our work with Allwyn reflects our shared commitment to leaving a positive legacy and leveraging innovation as a way of delivering new fan experiences both at home and at our global events. Allwyn is a strong and valued partner to Formula 1, both in growing the sport and in benefitting the people it reaches around the world.”
Pavel Turek, Allwyn’s Chief Officer of Global Partnerships, said: “We are thrilled to take our official partnership with Formula 1 to the next level, marking our most significant long-term commitment to the sport to date. By continuing our collaboration, we are committing to our shared belief in the power of Formula 1 to reach and inspire a global audience.
“This next chapter allows us to deepen that connection even further through the launch of the Allwyn League fan experience, our headline partnership of the Formation Lap and the expansion of our Formula 1 Allwyn Global Community Award programme. We will ensure the excitement of the track delivers a rewarding experience for fans and a lasting positive impact for the communities we visit.”
