Finnplay promotes CFO to replace founder
Martin Prantner is stepping down from the role of managing director to focus on strategy, partnerships and new market development.
Finland.- Online casino technology provider, Finnplay, has promoted its chief financial officer (CFO) Sari Aitokallio to the role of managing director.
Aitokallio will replace founder Martin Prantner, who decided to step aside to focus on strategy, new market development and partnerships. He will do so as non-executive director and chairman of the board .
The company has been expanding; in 2020 the company bought Global Gaming’s Nano Casino brand for US$612,535 (€500,000).
Aitokallio is a founding partner of the company and has been CFO since March 2018.
He has extensive experience in financial roles including an executive career at Metso, the Finnish industrial machinery company providing technology and services for mining, aggregates, oil and gas, recycling, pulp and paper and other process industries.
Aitokallio said: “I welcome the opportunity to lead Finnplay into this next exciting stage in its development as a world-class supplier to our industry.
“Having recently been named one of Finland’s top growth companies and closing 2020 as our most successful sales year on record, I see the opportunity to sustain and support our growth,” he added.
