FanDuel TV holds sixth CARMAthon fundraiser

The event raised funds for thoroughbred aftercare charities.

US.- FanDuel TV has hosted its sixth annual CARMAthon fundraiser. The event raised more than $200,000 for the CARMA (California Retirement Management Account) grant programme, which assists more than 20 thoroughbred aftercare charities. FanDuel donated $25,000.

Andrew Moore, FanDuel TV’s general manager, said: “It is important to us to continue to give back to the horse racing industry through numerous charitable initiatives each year. CARMA does tremendous work to help retired racehorses thrive in their second careers off of the track and we are thrilled to be able to support them in that mission.”

In April, FanDuel announced it would make a $100,000 donation to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA), a non-profit that provides grants for organisations that provide care, retraining, and rehoming for retired racehorses.
