Exclusive bingo expo at ICE

ICE Totally Gaming 2017 will add a special floor for the land-based bingo sector.

UK.- ICE Totally Gaming 2017, the largest event of the industry, will install a new and expanded exhibition floor to meet the specific needs of the land based bingo sector, ICE Bingo Pavilion. The special marketing and networking area for bingo industry was set under a partnership between Clarion Events, organisers of ICE, and The Bingo Association.

The gaming expo will be held in ExCel, London, from February 7-9 and for the first time will add the 220 square metre bingo floor, which will be situated in S9 at the convention centre. Miles Baron, Chief Executive of The Bingo Association, said: “The Bingo Association’s Members have been regular attendees of ICE Totally Gaming for many years. Building on the success of last year, The Bingo Association has worked with Clarion Events to create a more formal space at the 2017 show for Members and those working in the sector, creating The Bingo Pavilion: a space for business and networking.”

“Securing a focal point for land based operators has given new impetus for our Members and others involved in the land based sector to attend the show and marks a resurgence for land based bingo. As an industry we have a long history and while the leisure landscape and technology keep evolving, there is, and I think there will always be, a need and space for community based activities that bring people together. Creating a sector centric space is a great opportunity for industry operators, suppliers and potential suppliers, to attend and take space: be part of The Pavilion.”

He added: “The Show is a great opportunity for the Association to catch up with Members, suppliers and regulators. The team will be in attendance every day at The Bingo Pavilion, connecting with Members, industry participants and helping make new introductions, in addition, we hope to be able to host a small industry social for the middle day, Wednesday, and are very much looking forward to the 2017 show.”

Looking ahead to the land based bingo industry’s enhanced presence at ICE Totally Gaming, Kate Chambers, Managing Director of the Gaming Division at Clarion Events, said: “As organisers of the biggest b2b gaming event in the world, I see it as our role and indeed our duty to work with trade bodies such as The Bingo Association, to explore and develop ways in which we can support all of gaming’s extended family. The Bingo Pavilion is a perfect case study of how we can help achieve this and I am delighted it has grown in size and status from its debut at ICE 2016. The Bingo Association represents a community oriented part of the gaming industry and it is fitting the sector will have a vibrant presence at ICE. I look forward to welcoming Bingo Association members to ICE Totally Gaming, 2017.”
