Esports Entertainment arrives in New Jersey
Malta-based esports betting operator opens its first US office as it looks to secure licences across the country.
US.- Malta-based Esports Entertainment made its first play in the US market by setting up operations in New Jersey.
The firm has formed a new subsidiary, GMBL New Jersey Inc, and will start to apply for and acquire gambling licences across the country.
Esports Entertainment CEO, Grant Johnson, said: “Today’s announcement marks yet another significant milestone and provides the market with even greater insight as to our growth strategy.
“The US market represents a very big opportunity for us and thanks to the continued support of our valued shareholders, we intend to aggressively pursue it in 2020 and beyond.”
Last week, it was reported that MLS soccer player, Luis Robles, invested in fellow esports betting operator Luckbox.
