The gaming giant has agreed to double its sponsorship of SportsAid.

UK.- The British gaming giant Entain has extended its partnership with sports charity SportsAid for three more years and agreed to double its financial sponsorship up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Entain Foundation, the group’s not-of-profit, will provide £500,000 (€584,158) in funding to the charity for the Paris Olympics.

Grainne Hurst, group director of corporate affairs at Entain said: “Following the incredible performance from British athletes at this year’s Olympic Games and the Paralympics getting underway in Tokyo, we are delighted to extend our SportsAid partnership for a further three years.

“Our collaboration with SportsAid is a huge source of pride for everyone at Entain and plays a pivotal role in supporting the next generation of British sporting heroes.”

Tim Lawler, CEO of SportsAid, said: “Entain’s extended commitment will take us all the way up to the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024 and comes at a very important time for talented young athletes – particularly following a challenging period over the last 18 months.”

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games started this week, in which 165 of the 227 members of the British team have received financial support and recognition from SportsAid at some point in their careers.
