El Cortez Hotel & Casino makes leadership changes

The Las Vegas venue has announced three leadership promotions and a new addition.

US.- El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has announced leadership promotions and new additions to its executive team. The venue has promoted Adam Wiesberg to vice president and general manager, Patrick Lazarus to vice president and director of casino operations, and Nords Malilay to vice president of player development and casino marketing. Bart Mahoney has been appointed vice president of hospitality.

Wiesberg joined the resort in 2015 and held various roles, including table games shift manager, marketing director and assistant general manager. Lazarus joined in 2012 and has served in positions, such as table games shift manager and casino manager. Malilay has worked for the company since 2005. Mahoney has experience at Resorts World, Golden Entertainment and Wynn Resorts.

Kenny Epstein, CEO and chairman of El Cortez Hotel & Casino, said: “As we approach our 85th anniversary, it’s exciting to have a leadership team with such deep roots in the Las Vegas gaming industry. These gentlemen each bring extensive casino and hospitality experience to our storied property.”

In February, El Cortez Hotel & Casino celebrated the completion of its $20m property-wide expansion. The property’s renovation included the addition of a new high-limit lounge, two new bars, a new restaurant, and a Starbucks coffee shop. The project expanded the casino’s footprint by 10,000 square feet while 4,000 square feet of the existing casino floor was renovated.
