DraftKings appoints new CFO

The DFS and sports betting operator DraftKings revealed that Jason Park joins the company from Bain Capital and will become CFO.

US.- DraftKings has announced the hiring of a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Jason Park will join the company to help boost success, as more states in the US begin to welcome sports betting and pass laws allowing for daily fantasy sports (DFS) play.

Park will also be a new strategic advisor to CEO Jason Robins and senior management in navigating the operations that have helped DraftKings thrive since its founding in 2012. Tim Dent, who had been overseeing financial operations for the company since 2012 will transition fully into the role of Chief Compliance Officer.

“DraftKings has experienced exponential growth over the last year and we are excited to welcome someone of Jason’s calibre to the team,” said Robins. “Jason will step in and help accomplish our long-term financial goals. He has a track record of success around investments and acquisitions which will aid in the growth of our business and his world-class background in evolving and executing growth plans will make him invaluable to our organisation.”

Park comes from Bain Capital Private Equity. He worked for more than 10 years collaboratively with CEOs, CFOs, and management teams to develop and achieve growth plans. “I am thrilled to be joining DraftKings at this important inflection point for the company,” said Park.  “DraftKings has already established itself as a clear leader in the sports technology and entertainment arena and I look forward to working with this exceptional team to drive and capture the significant growth potential ahead.”
