Exclusive interview.- Diego Mejia, Technical Sales Account Manager at TransAct talked with Focus Gaming News and highlighted TransAct’s presence at G2E Las Vegas and also talked about plans for the next year.
TransAct Technologies was present at G2E 2021. How did it feel to be back?
We were ecstatic to return to G2E! The casino industry is very tight-knit, so reuniting with our customers and market leaders was much overdue.
Although we wish we could have met with our clients and team members from Europe and Asia, we hope to see them soon as possible.
How did you find the atmosphere at the expo this year?
Even with the limited attendance, there was still a lively, positive atmosphere. We foresee the gaming industry roaring back in the next year, so it was exciting to gather and share our latest innovations.
Following the changes in practices we saw in the pandemic, was a live expo still useful to connect with customers?
Absolutely. There’s a unique benefit of showing the effectiveness and reliability of our products in person with a demo. Showing the crispness of the Epic Edge’s laser-quality 300 DPI print resolution really sells the product and gives tangible proof of why it’s the most advanced casino printer.

What were the main topics of interest among those attending the TransAct Technologies stand?
Due to the increasing number of jurisdictions with sports betting in the United States, our Epic 880 roll printer received a lot of attention from casino operators. This printer is the ideal choice when game or kiosk cabinet space is limited for applications, such as sports betting and video lottery terminals.
“Customers were eager to learn more about our newest product innovation, Epicentral Mobile Host.”
Diego Mejia, Technical Sales Account Manager at TransAct.
Together with the Epic Edge TITO printer, Epicentral prints intelligent promotional offers at the slot machine or table games while the guest is playing.
With the addition of Epicentral Mobile host, running on an iPad or Android tablet, casino slot floor managers will have a real-time dashboard of every player and activity on every game in the casino, paired with available offers and coupons, giving them the ability to instantly deliver promotions to their best players.
What are the next highlights on the calendar for TransAct Technologies?
As it stands, ICE is scheduled to be held in February, so we look forward to attending this premier event.
In my role at TransAct, I oversee our connections in the Latin American market. I look forward to meeting and strengthening our business relationships with our clients this year and through 2022.
