Detroit casinos post USD 1.4B in 2017 revenue
The figure represents a 1.1% increase on 2016.
US.- Detroit’s three casinos have reported US$ 1.4B in aggregate revenue last year, according to a report released by the Michigan Gaming Control Board this week.
Slot machines brought in US$1.14 B.- 81% – of the 2017 revenue, while table games took in US$260 M.
MGM Grand Detroit reported revenue of US$592 M. while MotorCity Casino and Greektown took in US$478 M. and US$330 M. respectively.
The casinos generated US$113.4 M. in gaming taxes last year, up from US$112.2 M. in 2016. They paid the city of Detroit about US$177.4 M. in waging taxes and development agreement payments.
MGM led market share with 42%, followed by MotorCity at 34% and Greektown at 24%, the report showed.
