MGM Grand Detroit ready for sports betting
MGM Grand Detroit unveiled in October its Moneyline Sports Lounge, even if the state Legislature hasn’t legalised sports betting. The space features a sports lounge right in front of the entrance to the casino.
The sports lounge has a capacity for 280 people and VIP seating. It also features a sports bar with 60 televisions to watch multiple games at the same time. It is in front of the casino entrance and neat the hotel lobby, and it is open every day from 11:30 am to 1:30 am.
Mike Neubecker, president and COO of MGM Grand Detroit, explained that Detroit is a sports town and they saw an opportunity to open a venue unlike other sports bar in the city. It provides the guests with a unique and exciting atmosphere to watch their favourite teams, he said. “And if sports betting is legalized, we’re prepared to offer an outstanding experience.”
