Delaware sports betting handle drops again in April
April saw the lowest monthly total in eight months.
US.- Delaware’s sports betting handle was $3.4m in April, down 10 per cent from $4.2m in the same month in 2022 and just behind the $3.5m wagered in March this year. It was the lowest monthly total in eight months.
Sports betting revenue was $374,568, up 19.2 per cent year-on-year but down 31.2 per cent from $544,385 in March. The leading operator was again Delaware Park with $195,226 in revenue from $1.9m in wagers. It was followed by Bally’s Dover with $93,506 from $873,791 and Harrington Raceway with $46,728 in revenue from $458,575.
Delaware’s online gaming handle was $39.5m in April, up 6.2 per cent year-on-year, but down 4.8 per cent from $41.5m in March this year. Players wagered $11.4m on table games and $24.1m on video lottery.
Revenue from igaming reached $1.3m, an 8.3 per cent year-on-year increase, but a 7.1 per cent drop from $1.4m in March. Of this total, $1.1m came from video lottery games, $195,118 table games and $44,540 poker rake and fees.
Bally’s Dover recorded $457,240 in revenue from $10.6m in bets. Delaware Park registered $444,955 in revenue from $20.7m and Harrington Raceway on $391,510 off $8.1m.
