Delaware online gaming wagers reach $29.2m in January

The figures represent a 38.8 per cent increase from the same period last year but a drop of 17.7 per cent from December.

US.- Delaware’s online gaming handle reached $29.2m in January, up 38.8 per cent year-on-year but down 17.7 per cent from December. Players at Delaware Park wagered $11.6m and won more than $11.1m. Dover Downs took in more than $10.8m in wagers and Harrington recorded more than $6.4m.

Video lottery registered the largest amount of activity, with $21.4m in wagers, compared to $12.9m in January 2021. Table games brought in over $7.7m. The net gain for the state was just over $1.12m.

The Delaware Lottery’s report for igaming revenue for the 2021 calendar year showed annual revenue of $10.6m, a new record for the state and an increase of 26.2 per cent from $8.4m in 2020. Consumer spending on online gambling rose from $228.7m to $308.8m.
