Delaware sports betting revenue reports $11.2m for 2021
Despite the rise of 34.4% from 2020, it has reported 9.9% less than 2019. In December, revenue has dropped compared to the previous month.
US.- Delaware sports betting revenue has recorded $11.2m for 2021, a year-on-year rise of 34.4%. Despite the rise from 2020, revenue reported 9.9% less than it generated in 2019, which totaled at $12.4m.
The total amount wagered was $89m, a 54.4% increase from $57.6m that it was reported in 2020. The number of wagers was 2.2 million, a yearly increase of 73%.
Delaware Park sportsbook registered a 33.3% rise in revenue to $6m. The Harrington Raceway sportsbook posted $2.7m in revenue for the year, up 31.4%. The Dover Downs sportsbook revenue for the year rose by 41.1% to $2.4m.
Sports betting revenue drops in December
In December, Sports betting revenue registered $296,809, a significant drop from the $1.8m revenue recorded in November and $1.1m recorded in December 2020.
Delaware recorded $7.5m wagered in December, down 13.7% from the $8.7m wagered in November and a decrease of 14.3% year-on-year.
Delaware Park reported $145,349 in revenue, down 78.6% year-on-year. Dover Downs revenue was down 62.7% to $76,066, while Harrington Raceway’s revenue dropped 68.3% to $75,394.
