DC sports betting revenue falls 10% in July

William Hill posted a 25 per cent decline in revenue for its online operation and its retail sportsbook at the Capital One Arena. The operator raked $1.2m, with its handle down 36.3 per cent, from $15.6m to $10m.
DC Lottery-operated Gambet came second with $432,726 in revenue, down 16.5 per cent month-on-month. Its handle fell 35.3 per cent to $2.2m.
BetMGM was the only operator to post higher figures than June’s, but it only launched on June 11. It posted $148,796 in revenue, up 82.1 per cent month-on-month. The operator, which is the official partner of the Washington Nationals MLB team, hopes to continue growing in the state.
