Casinos forced to close in Southern California

Casinos will be forced to remain closed for at least three weeks due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.

US.- Casinos in Southern California have been forced to close their doors again as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

Governor Gavin Newsom has implemented a stay-at-home order which includes Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Imperial, Inyo, Mono, San Luis Obispo and San Diego counties.

According to the California Department of Public Health, the new restrictions will apply until at least December 28.

The lockdown was triggered after the Intensive care unit available bed capacity dropped below the 15 per cent threshold to 12.5 per cent.

Last week, card rooms in Los Angeles were also ordered to close their doors for the third time this year. The properties will not be permitted to reopen until at least December 20.
