Casino Queen Marquette to rebrand as Bally’s Marquette at new land-based property
The property will be renamed as part of its move from the Mississippi River.
US.- Casino Queen Marquette, one of Iowa’s riverboats casinos, will be renamed as Bally’s Marquette for its relocation from the Mississippi River to a new permanent land-based property. The opening is planned for early 2026.
The new land-based casino is being built on land near the Mississippi River bridge. The $21m project includes the relocation of the 17,000-square-foot gambling floor, including more than 400 slot machines, two blackjack tables and several other table games.
The property will add 12,000 square feet to the current dockside building. The existing casino will remain open during the transformation.

Robin Corbeil, general manager of Casino Queen Marquette, said: “We’re proud to honor Casino Queen Marquette’s deep-rooted connection to the community while ushering in an exciting new era as Bally’s Marquette. This transformation brings the entertainment experience our guests love onto land — making it more accessible, more comfortable, and more dynamic than ever before.”
Casino Queen Marquette received approval from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission to move to land in January 2023. In April, Penn Entertainment announced plans to relocate Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs riverboat casino to a land-based property, which will be branded as Hollywood Casino Council Bluffs.
