New casino opens in the Philippines
The new D’ Heights Casino held a soft opening in the Philippines’ Clark Freeport Zone as it gets ready for a Grand Opening in October.
Philippines.- The casino industry is expanding in the Philippines with a new casino opening in the country. The D’ Heights Casino, in the Clark Freeport Zone, held a soft opening this week.
The newest casino in the Philippines’ special economic area launched with 50 gaming tables and 576 slot machines. However, it scheduled its Grand Opening for October, when it will present its expanded offering. Then, it will host 100 tables on the gaming floor.
The development is worth €223 million and includes a high limit area and junket space. However, the casino is just part of a major resort that will include a five-star 310-room Hilton Hotel and Hyatt Regency. Furthermore, it will host an indoor water theme park, man-made lake, villas, condominium towers, 36-hole golf course, restaurants, shops and a Singapore International School.
Already open in Clark are Fortunegate Casino, Midori Casino, Mimosa PAGCOR, Royce and Widus.
The Widus development
The tourism industry continues to expand in the Philippines as casino companies keep investing in the country and new developments get built all across the nation. Add yet another hotel to the expansion, as South Korea-based company Widus International Leisure Inc. opened its Clark Marriott hotel in October.
“The Clark Marriott does not have a casino directly attached to it, but it is connected to the existing Widus Hotel and Casino as part of the integrated resort,” a company representative said, as quoted by GGRAsia. Its development is part of a €432 million expansion plan which will see a fourth tower added by 2020 to the existing buildings.
