Gold Eagle Casino in Saskatchewan to relocate and expand
The venue will move to a new location in North Battleford.
Canada.- The Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford, in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, will be relocated and expanded, as part of a project by Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation (MGBHLM).
The new 67-acre property will be constructed at the location of the former Best Canadian Motor Inn on Highway 16 West, south of the existing Riverview neighbourhood. MGBHLM First Nation says it plans to build a $100m casino, hotel and convention-centre.
The land was secured through MGBHLM Holdings and Commercial Development LP and represents “one of the largest single investments ever undertaken by a Saskatchewan First Nation.”

MGBHLM First Nation chief Tanya Aguilar-Antiman said: “I’m overwhelmed and very excited of the future of Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man. [The project] has been ongoing for a couple of decades but in the last few years I really pushed to find answers with the current site. Several key players were involved and a lot more need to be involved as we move forward. It’s just a beautiful day for Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man.”
Gold Eagle Casino has operated in North Battleford since 1996 under the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA).
