Buffalo Chip casino and hotel announced for Southern Nevada
The venue will include a barn-themed casino and a 200-room hotel.
US.- Buffalo Chip Global, a company connected to the South Dakota campground venue Sturgis Buffalo Chip, is to develop a Buffalo Chip casino-hotel in southern Nevada. There will be a barn-themed casino, 200-room hotel and a pedestrian thoroughfare with retail shops, restaurants and entertainment spaces.
In addition to the casino, the business plan includes the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Roadhouse with a restaurant and a bar. Entertainment will include Woody’s Barn, a live event venue, the Honky Tonk bar, a 10,000-seat amphitheater, Tiny Town’s collection of tiny homes; and summer venue Bikini Beach It will also include a RV parking, a mini gas station and general store and a replica of the Big Engine Bar.
Rod “Woody” Woodruff, who founded the Sturgis Buffalo Chip in 1981, said: “Starting the Chip was about creating a home for people who live for the ride. Now, with Mark and his team, we’re turning that spirit into a year-round experience that resonates in even more places.”

Nevada gaming revenue decreases in May
The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) reported that the state’s casinos generated $1.29m in gaming revenue in May. That’s down 2.18 year-over-year but up from April, when casinos generated $1.23m.
The Las Vegas Strip generated $713.3m, down 3.87 per cent year-on-year. Clark County as a whole, which includes the Strip, downtown Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, the Boulder Strip and surrounding areas, generated $1.1bn, down 2.4 year-over-year.
