Bragg Gaming CEO Matevž Mazij offers to resign from board after re-election rejection

Shareholders voted 55.67 per cent against Matevž Mazij’s re-election to the board.

Canada.- Bragg Gaming CEO Matevž Mazij has offered to resign from the company’s board in compliance with its Majority Voting Policy. The moves comes after the shareholder meeting saw 6,288,503 votes (55.67 per cent) cast against his re-election and 5,008,342 in favour.

The rejection follows a period of sustained underperformance. Bragg Gaming Group’s shares have declined 65 per cent over the past year and delivered average annual losses of 10 per cent over five years. Revenue for the third quarter of 2025 was €26.8m, short of projections.

A special committee established in March 2024 to investigate a sale or merger came received no acceptable bids. The company has responded with operational adjustments. These include a 12 per cent workforce reduction in January 2026 and a restructuring expected to generate approximately €4.5m in annualised cash savings. Garrick Morris was made executive vice president of global content for the United States and Canada in March 2026, while Morten Tonnesen was named chief operating officer.

Mazij will continue to serve as a director on an interim basis until the board accepts the resignation offer, appoints a successor, or 90 days elapse from the meeting date, which would be on September 16, 2026. He continues to serve as CEO.
