Boyd acquires Las Vegas Cannery casinos
The company expands its business to 12 properties in Southern Nevada.
US.- Boyd Gaming completed the acquisition of Cannery Casino Resorts’ Las Vegas assets. With the latest addition, the company expands its presence to 24 properties nationwide and 12 in just Southern Nevada.
Keith Smith, Boyd Gaming president and chief executive officer: “The Cannery transaction, along with our recent acquisition of Aliante, further expands Boyd Gaming’s presence in the high-performing Las Vegas locals market.” The company reported that for the moment they will not change the current operating hours or the facilities, but they’re expected to join their program B Connected next year.
By acquiring these assets, Boyd will be present in different parts of the state, such as Craig Road, where the Cannery Casino Hotel features a 30.000 square feet entertainment venue. Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel, located in Boulder Highway, on the east of Las Vegas Valley, features a 64.000 square feet casino, along with 300 hotel rooms.
