US.- Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced that the facility will feature a 18.000 square foot Central Conference Center in May. With the US$11 million expansion, Atlantic City’s top gambling venue will offer 106,000 square feet of convention space in three different venues.

Vice President of Hotel & Property Operations for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Mark Vanderwielen, said that the launch of Central Conference Center complements their event space, allowing them to accommodate more weddings, special occasions, trade shows, business expos, and more. As the market-leading resort destination in the region, we recognize the importance of our meetings and conventions customers and are delighted to offer them an exclusive product containing a level of service that is unmatched anywhere in the city,” he added.

Back in August 2016, it was announced that MGM Resorts completed the US$861 million purchase of Boyd Gaming’s 50 percent share of Borgata and transferred the real estate to MGM Growth Properties. The transaction included the casino and hotel and the Water Club hotel next door in the city’s Marina District. Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts, said that Borgata is a great addition to their growing presence in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast United States.
