Big decline for St Louis casinos
Gaming operators in St. Louis reported a 12 percent decline during last month’s activities.
US.- Although gaming operators have been reporting positive results in St. Louis during the last few months, the casino industry fell 11.9 percent in October, according to local authorities. October’s results were compared to last year’s reports in the same month, showing that the industry is facing its biggest drop.

The Queen casino area reported year-to-day receipts off 6 percent compared to the first 10 months of 2016, making it the second-worst performer in Illinois. However, in September the casino was hit by armed robbers and operators decided to close the doors for a day.
Furthermore, Hollywood receipts fell 8.3 percent to US$18.2 million. River City slid 7.5 percent to US$17.8 million. And Ameristar St. Charles dropped 2.8 percent to US$21.1 million. Best results were achieved by Lumiere Place with receipts totaling US$11.2 million, up 5.9 percent compared to October 2016. Meanwhile, the Alton Argosy saw receipts rise 2.5 percent to US$4 million.
