Betway signs three-year deal with VfB Stuttgart
Super Group’s Betway will be a premium partner of Germany’s VfB Stuttgart for three years.
Germany.- Betway has signed a three-year deal to become a premium partner of the Bundesliga’s VfB Stuttgart.
The club’s Mercedes-Benz Arena will feature Betway’s branding on LED screens and cam carpets. The partnership grants Betway activation rights.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said: “VfB Stuttgart are one of Germany’s most successful football clubs and we’re very proud to become their premium partner on an initial three-year deal.
“This agreement reflects our ambitions as a brand, as the Bundesliga is recognised around the world as one of the biggest football leagues. We’re delighted to have further association with it for Betway, a brand that is synonymous with the highest-profile sports and teams around the globe.
“Stuttgart finished in the top half of the Bundesliga last season and we’re looking forward to working with the club as they strive for further success in Germany’s top flight.”
Thomas Hitzlsperger, chairman of the board of management at VfB Stuttgart, said: “Our partnership has proven successful for both sides, even in a challenging time for soccer.
“We are therefore very pleased that Betway is expanding its commitment to VfB and look forward to a long-term collaboration.”
Last month, Betway signed a deal with Germany’s FC Schalke 04. Under a three-year deal, the bookmaker will become the club’s premium partner, with its branding to appear across its Veltins-Arena.

Anne Poggemann to lead new German gambling supervisor
Earlier this week, the German state of Saxony-Anhalt has appointed Anne Poggemann to lead the Glücksspielaufsicht, Germany’s new gambling’s supervisory authority.
Poggemann will select the supervisory authority’s first executive team, which will lead a unit comprising 110 employees to monitor industry standards, player safeguards and operator conduct.
