BetMGM promotes Jarrod Schwarz as chief operating officer

Schwarz will oversee product, customer operations, technology and trading.

US.- BetMGM has named Jarrod Schwarz as chief operating officer, a new position. After serving as the company’s chief product officer for nearly five years, Schwarz will oversee product, customer operations, technology and trading in the new role. 

Before joining the company, Schwarz spent more than seven years at Disney. He also served six years at eBay and worked as vice president of product for Bloomspot, a startup acquired by JP Morgan Chase.

CEO Adam Greenblatt said: “Jarrod has been an integral part of our incredible team, building BetMGM into one of the most recognizable and successful brands in sports betting and iGaming. He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our business. I’m confident that this change will ensure we continue to deliver exceptional products and experiences to our players.”

BetMGM also announced it is moving its strategy, corporate development and select business development functions under finance led by CFO Gary Deutsch. This follows the formation of a new igaming vertical, led by Oliver Bartlett, and a new sports vertical, led by Raymond Doyle. 

BetMGM’s financial results second quarter net revenue totalled $692m, up 36 per cent year-over-year. For H1, revenue was $1.35bn, up 35 per cent.
