BetMGM names Connor McDavid as brand ambassador
BetMGM has signed a partnership with National Hockey League MVP Connor McDavid, who will be part of the operator´s marketing campaigns.
US.- BetMGM has signed a partnership with National Hockey League (NHL) MVP Connor McDavid. The captain of the Edmonton Oilers will become BetMGM’s newest brand ambassador and part of the operator´s marketing campaigns.
McDavid will participate in fan events, social media content, and promotions. He becomes the first active professional athlete from the four North American major sports leagues to join BetMGM as a brand ambassador.
BetMGM’s chief revenue officer, Matt Prevost, said: “The accomplishments that Connor has already earned on the ice are astonishing and we are excited to welcome him to the BetMGM family. We look forward to working together to engage BetMGM players across North America.”
Connor McDavid commented: “I am very excited to partner with BetMGM as they continue to shape the future of sports betting. It’s also a real honour to be on the same BetMGM team with star athletes like Wayne Gretzky and Kevin Garnett, both of whom I admire very much.”
In 2016, McDavid became the league’s youngest ever captain at the age of 19. In that same season, he won the Art Ross Trophy as the league’s leading scorer, the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player, and the Ted Lindsay Award as the league’s best player.
He joins former NFL Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson and NBA legend Kevin Garnett as BetMGM ambassadors. Johnson and Garnett also participate in BetMGM’s marketing campaigns.
