BetConstruct secures French license from ARJEL
The local gaming regulator granted a Remote Gaming License and increases the number of licensed operators to 14.
France.- BetConstruct announced that it has been granted a Remote Gaming License for its Sportsbook product by Arjel, the French online games regulator.
The Remote Gaming License now enables BetConstruct to provide its licensed sports betting software to its partners who are willing to operate in France.
“Being granted a licence by ARJEL is a powerful guarantee of reliability and a stamp of recognition of the strengths of BetConstruct. The French licence will allow our partners to have a privileged access to the French market that has grown 30 percent every year since it was regulated. BetConstruct will remove barriers for operators and allow them to benefit from this dynamic market,” commented BetConstruct Regional Director in France, David Ozararat.
The new license granted to BetConstruct is an addition to Malta Gambling Authority’s controlled skill games licenses and casino and pool betting license from the UK Gambling Commission which the technology provider secured earlier this year.
Back in May, ARJEL revealed that online sports betting registered a 23 percent increase year-on-year during the first quarter of 2017 to US$708 million. The figure established a new record as the previous one had been reported during the second quarter of 2016 when the online market reached US$654 million, more than half a million less than the first three months of this year. ARJEL said that the exponential rise of the sports betting numbers are influenced by a weave of new registered bettors in the country.
