Atlantic City casinos increase revenue in July
The casinos in the state improved their revenues by 11.9 per cent during last month’s operations.
US.- New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement released July’s financial results, which show that the nine casinos in Atlantic City took in US$299.8 million in total gaming revenue during last month’s operations.
The casinos improved their finances by 11.9 per cent when compared to the same month last year. July also marked the first full month of information reported to the state since Ocean Resort Casino and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City opened their doors during the last week of June.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was once again the top scorer in the state, as it reported US$76.6 million in gaming revenue, while Tropicana Atlantic City was the second-highest with revenue of US$37 million. In third place comes Hard Rock, as it accounted US$32.7 million in July. Ocean Resort, the other facility that opened in June, totalled US$17 million, putting the facility at the bottom of the list.
Internet gaming revenue also rose to approximately US$26 million. Golden Nugget Atlantic City remains in the top of the list with US$9.3 million. The total gaming revenue for the property was US$29.4 million.
