Vietnam: The Hoiana casino resort to welcome visitors from the U.S.
As part of the ‘safe tourism’ programme being tested in the province of Quang Nam, the Hoiana casino resort has announced it will receive US tourists.
Vietnam.- The Hoiana club resort has announced it has been allowed to receive visitors from the US under the ‘safe tourism’ programme launched by the province of Quang Nam. Two flights with more than 400 passengers are expected to arrive in the next few days.
Visitors will be allowed to stay at the casino resort for seven days and will be able to visit UNESCO heritage sites Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary, amongst other tourism attractions. Those who visit will be the first foreign tourists since March 2020 when, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, authorities decided to close the country’s borders.
Tourists will have to show a Covid-19 negative test issued 72 hours prior to departure.
The province of Quang Nam is one of the major tourist destinations in Vietnam, whose tourism sector has been deeply affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The gaming industry was also one of the hardest hit by restrictions as the government has tight restrictions on locals entering casinos. For now, five provinces have been allowed to accept tourists.
