The Londoner Macau interior to be completed in December
Despite the impact of the pandemic, operator Las Vegas Sands expects to open the venue soon.
Macau.- Las Vegas Sands has confirmed that the interiors of The Londoner Macao, a new themed casino complex, will be complete by December.
The news follows the announcement of the opening of a new luxury tower for the Four Seasons hotel in Cotai. The two projects are part of Las Vegas Sands’ US$2.2bn additional investment in the Macau market.
Despite Sands China reporting net losses for the third quarter of the year, it remains optimistic of a recovery.
Sands CEO, Sheldon Adelson, said during the company’s results conference call: “In Macau, operating losses reduced sequentially over the second quarter.
“The third-quarter results, however, are not representative of our current business trajectory, as the resumption of visa issuance across all provinces in China only commenced towards the end of September. The initial stages of recovery since then have been very encouraging,”
Adelson indicated that The Londoner Macao and Four Seasons projects are on-going, with The Grand Suites at Four Seasons already complete, licensed, and welcoming customers in the premium mass segment.
He added: “We will be introducing a variety of additional world class integrated resort products and amenities as we complete The Londoner Macao and other capital projects.
“The Londoner Macao will include two new all-suite hotels, more than a dozen new restaurants, additional retail, and new MICE and entertainment facilities”.
