SJM Holdings will host a three-day vaccination outreach service at the Grand Lisboa Hotel.
Macau.- The casino operator SJM Holdings Ltd has launched a new campaign to encourage Covid-19 vaccination takeup in the city. SJM will hold an outreach vaccination service with the Health Bureau at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Lisboa Hotel for three days from November 25. It’s being promoted with the slogan “Take the shot, protect Macau”.
The casino operator said it hoped the location of Grand Lisboa “will make it easier for residents in an effort to increase vaccination rates and establish herd immunity.” It will also offer a draw for those who get vaccinated.
The event comes after Ho Iat Seng, Macau’s chief executive suggested it will be easier to negotiate travel bubbles once the city achieves an 80 per cent vaccination rate. To date, only 64.1 per cent of Macau’s population has been vaccinated.
