Russia extends casino closure period
All gambling location will remain closed indefinitely as Russia ramps up efforts to combat Covid-19.
Russia.- All casinos in Russian gambling zones will remain closed indefinitely as part of attempts to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Casinos in Russia’s Primorye and Siberia zones initially closed their doors from 28 March to 5 April but authorities have said they must remain shut.
“The date of its opening will become known as soon as the overall epidemiologic situation in Russia improves,” management at the Tigre de Cristal casino said in an Instagram post.
According to Asia Gaming Brief, Altai Palace in the Siberian Coin gambling zone made a similar announcement, calling on its followers to observe the self-isolation regime imposed by the Russian authorities.
National authorities declared that all non-essential businesses in the Russian capital, including betting shops, will be closed until 1 May.
