PH Resorts expects to launch Cebu IR by end of year
PH Resorts has announced that it plans to open its Cebu IR by the end of the year despite delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Philippines.- Gaming and hospitality company PH Resorts Group Holding has announced that its Emerald Bay casino resort in Mactan, Cebu, will open by the end of 2021.
The Cebu integrated resort will open in phases and is exptected to be fully operational by the second quarter of 2022.
The US$465m IR will feature 122 gaming tables split between mass, premium mass and junkets. It will also include 600 EGMs and 270 hotel rooms.
PH Resorts hopes to target the growing gaming market in Asia “by providing an attractive gaming option for Philippine and regional mass market and VIP players.”
The second phase, slated for the second quarter of the year 2022, will have around 12,164 square meters of aggregate gaming floor area and different hotel amenities.
Last year, the company announced it had completed towers A and B at the resort.
PH Resorts group chairman Dennis Uy stated: “Despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are confident that the Philippine gaming industry will be on the road to recovery.”
