Paradise Co. sees monthly improvement in sales

Revenues climbed 9 per cent month-on-month in October.

South Korea.- Paradise Co has reported a 9 per cent monthly improvement on casino sales in October.  

Revenues reached KRW22.36bn (US$19.7m), up from KRW20.51bn (US$18.11m)  in September.

The previous month saw the closure of one of the operator’s four casinos between September 1 and September 9.  

In a year where Paradise Co.’s finances have been hit by the pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions, October’s sales remained 72.2 per cent below October 2019.  

For the first 10 months of the year, sales reached KRW283.30bn (US$250.28m), a decrease of 56.3 per cent year-on-year. 

Table game revenue accounted for over 91 per cent of the operator’s casino sales in October, reaching KRW20.41bn (US$18m), up 9.1 per cent on September. 

Machine game revenue was KRW1.95bn (US$1.7m), up 8.6 per cent.
