Paradise Co. sees sales jump almost 20%
Gaming sales improved in September compared to August but remained down 70 per cent year-to-year.
South Korea.- South Korean operator Paradise Co. has reported a 19.2 per cent monthly increase in sales for September.
Total sales were KRW20.61 billion (US$17.7 million), mostly at foreigner-only casinos operated by the firm.
Year-on-year, revenue remained down by 71.7 per cent due to the continued impact of the pandemic. Sales in August has been down by 75 per cent year-on-year.
Revenue from table games rose 22 per cent from August to KRW18.81 billion (US$16.2 million), but sales were down 72.7 per cent compared to to September 2019.
Slot machine sales reached KRW1.80 billion (US$1.6 million), 54.7 per cent below figures for 2019, and 5 per cent below August 2020.
As a whole, Paradise Co.’s revenue is down 54 per cent year-on-year for the first nine months of 2020 at KRW261 billion (US$224 million).
