Osaka: the recruitment process for the IR operator starts in December

Japan.- Osaka finally will start recruiting operators for the casino project in December. The announcement was made by the Governor of the city Prefecture, Hirofumi Yoshimura.

MGM Resorts International, Galaxy Entertainment Group, and Genting Singapore are the gaming companies that have expressed interest in Japan’s third-largest city. The three of them submitted their company information and will be the three contenders to operate an Osaka IR.
Initially, there were some other companies such as Las Vegas Sands, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, Wynn Resorts and Caesars Entertainment but finally they won’t be part of this process in Japan.
Japanese regulators and politicians in the city want a casino there operational before the World Expo commences, in 2025. MGM already said some analysts that they can wrap up the project for that year.
