Oddschecker exits Australia

Betting odds comparison website Oddschecker no longer offering odds comparisons or tips to players in the country.

Australia.- Betting odds comparison website Oddschecker will close the Australia branch of its business from today (April 14th).

Oddschecker.com/au will no longer be offering odds comparison or tips in Australia. No information as to why the firm has taken the decision to exit the market has been given.

The decision to leave Australia was posted via its official Twitter account.

A statement on the official website read: “The decision to close down the business was not an easy one and we are very grateful for the support we’ve got from all our loyal customers over the last six years.

“We’d also like to thank all the partners and content suppliers we’ve worked with during this period.

“We hope everyone is staying safe during this troubling period and you continue to use our other sites to view odds and read tips on your favourite sporting events.”

Oddschecker.com and Oddschecker.com/us will remain open and will continue to feature free tips for all horse racing, golf, football, rugby, NFL, NBA, MLB and other sports.

Launched in the UK in 1999, Oddschecker is the world’s leading odds comparison site.

Meanwhile, Australia’s gambling industry is effectively shutdown at present as the country battles the Coronavirus pandemic.
