NagaCorp names Yeap Chee Wan as independent non-executive director
Yeap’s initial term will last one year, and he will be eligible for re-election at NagaCorp’s next annual general meeting.
Cambodia.- The casino operator NagaCorp has appointed former Johnson & Johnson finance director Yeap Chee Wan as an independent non-executive director, effective October 27, 2026.
In an announcement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Tuesday, October 27, NagaCorp said Yeap would join its audit, nomination and remuneration committees. His responsibilities will include overseeing financial reporting, internal controls and risk management, reviewing board composition and director appointments, and advising on executive remuneration and compensation policies.
Yeap, 54, has around 30 years of experience in finance, treasury, strategic planning, business partnering and finance transformation across the healthcare, fast-moving consumer goods and consumer manufacturing sectors. He worked for Johnson & Johnson’s Malaysian and Singaporean subsidiaries between 2005 and 2025, holding several finance positions, including finance director in Malaysia and regional roles in Singapore and Malaysia.
Before joining Johnson & Johnson, Yeap was a financial planning and analysis manager at Kraft Foods Malaysia from 2002 to 2005. He previously worked as an accountant at B. Braun Medical Industries from 1998 to 2002. He holds a Master of Finance from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from La Trobe University, both in Australia. He is also a member of CPA Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Under the terms of his appointment, Yeap will serve an initial one-year term and be eligible for re-election at the company’s next annual general meeting. His annual remuneration is set at US$73,000, comprising a director’s fee and additional fees for his committee responsibilities. The amount payable for 2026 will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
