MGM China announces US$122m interim dividend for H1 2026
The operator said the board approved the payout after assessing the group’s financial position, cash flow and future funding requirements.
Macau.- MGM China has approved an interim dividend of HK$0.25 (US$0.03) per share for the six months ended June 30, 2026, amounting to a total distribution of about HK$950m (US$122m).
The dividend, announced in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday, represents 50 per cent of the group’s first-half profit attributable to shareholders of HK$1.9bn (US$244m). Shareholders on record as of August 24 will be eligible for the payment, with the dividend scheduled to be distributed on September 3.
The declaration follows the company’s revised dividend policy introduced last year, which increased the maximum proportion of annual consolidated profit that can be returned to shareholders through regular dividends from 35 per cent to 50 per cent.
The latest payout is below the HK$1.19bn (US$153m) interim dividend declared for the corresponding period in 2025, when shareholders received HK$0.313 (US$0.04) per share. The announcement came alongside MGM China’s first-half financial results, which showed revenue increased 4.4 per cent year-on-year to HK$17.4bn (US$2.22bn). Profit attributable to shareholders, however, declined to HK$1.9bn (US$244m) from HK$2.38bn (US$303m) a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA slipped to HK$4.78bn (US$609m).
