Melco will build a hotel in Nagano
The company will also develop a a five-star ski resort in Japan and is a firm candidate for the Yokohama IR bid.
Japan.- Melco Resorts & Entertainment announced that it will build a hotel at Nagano ski resort. The 280-room hotel will have commercial facilities in the area, with an exact opening date yet to be confirmed.
The owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment casino resort facilities in Asia will invest in Okushiga Kogen resort, a popular ski facility, for the development and operation of “premium” hospitality, leisure and entertainment facilities.
Melco is planning to make big investments for the next years. Besides Nagano’s hotel, the company will develop a a five-star ski resort in Japan and is a firm candidate for the Yokohama IR bid.
The resort will be one of two initial projects under its JPY27 billion (US$250 million) hospitality investment fund. The other will be a hot spring resort in Hakone, south of Yokohama.
