Melco Resorts Foundation funds rehabilitation of Baguio’s Sunshine Park
City of Dreams Manila’s charitable arm has completed a PHP20m (US$350,000) redevelopment of Sunshine Park in Baguio City.
The Philippines.- Melco Resorts (Philippines) Foundation Corporation (MRP Foundation), the charitable arm of City of Dreams Manila, has funded the PHP20m (US$350,000) rehabilitation of Sunshine Park in Baguio City, with the upgraded public space officially opened to residents and visitors.
The project forms part of the foundation’s ongoing community development initiatives and was carried out in partnership with the Baguio City government. The redevelopment included landscape improvements, upgraded walkways, repairs to the park’s stage area and the installation of outdoor fitness equipment.
Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong joined representatives from MRP Foundation at the park’s inauguration ceremony, highlighting the project’s contribution to enhancing public spaces and quality of life for local communities.
According to local reports, the PHP20m investment is intended to create a more accessible and attractive recreational area while supporting the city’s broader urban renewal and sustainability goals.
