Marina Bay Sands commits US$1.16m to Singapore wildlife conservation initiative
The integrated resort will support the Mandai Wildlife Centre over the next three years.
Singapore.- Marina Bay Sands has pledged S$1.5m b(US$1.16m) over three years to support the new Mandai Wildlife Centre. The contribution is intended to help expand rescue and rehabilitation efforts at the facility, which is operated by Mandai Nature, the non-profit conservation arm of the Mandai Wildlife Group.
Located within Rainforest Wild Adventure East, the Mandai Wildlife Centre provides veterinary care and rehabilitation services for rescued native species. It has a public viewing gallery overlooking treatment rooms, an intensive care ward and food preparation areas. Marina Bay Sands and Mandai Nature will develop educational experiences for guests and community partners aimed at raising awareness about biodiversity conservation in urban environments.
