Malaysia.- Police in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, have carried out a raid on a suspected illegal gambling operation that led to the arrest of three men.

According to officers, one of the men arrested was believed to be the counter attendant while the others are believed to be customers.

Police stated the illegal gambling centre was operating for at least a month, allowing entry only to regulars. Those arrested are aged between 46 and 58 years old.

In April, police made eighteen arrests in another city of Kuala Lumpur, Taman Orkid Desa, where they found an alleged online gambling syndicate that was running an illegal gambling call centre from a house.
