Macau spent US$7.5m on hotels due to pandemic
Macau spent US$7.5 million in hotels designated for hosting people who had to undergo a 14-day quarantine during pandemic.
Macau.- The Macau Government revealed in a press conference that it spent more than MOP60million (US$7.5million) on hotels used for mandatory 14-day quarantines as a preventive measure against Covid-19.
Macau imposed a mandatory quarantine for anyone entering the SAR, requiring them to be sent to designated hotels for two weeks.
More than 2,000 people were isolated across 12 hotels.
Macau today completed 44 consecutive days without registering new infections. There are currently no active cases.
