Macau gambling revenue to rise 14% in June, Jefferies forecasts

Macau’s casino sector could generate up to US$ 2.5bn.

Macau.- Jefferies Equity Research has forecast a year-on-year increase in Macau’s GGR of up to 14 per cent in June amid improved performance in the premium-mass segment and recent concerts and conventions. An investor note from analyst Anne Ling predicts a range of US$ 2.4bn to US$ 2.5bn, above the government’s updated forecast of US$2.3bn.

Average daily casino winnings for the week ending June 15 was up 5 per cent rise from the previous week and 29 per cent compared to the same period in 2024. Despite a dip in mass-market and VIP segments, the premium-mass category is driving gains, although Ling cautions that sustainability remains uncertain. Meanwhile, analyses from JP Morgan and Citigroup project full-year GGR to reach MOP235.7bn.
