Light & Wonder maintains 2026 guidance as Q2 profit jumps 26%
The supplier reported stronger second-quarter earnings, record wagering through its Open Gaming System and continued expansion of its North American premium gaming base.
Australia.- Light & Wonder has reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial outlook after reporting higher second-quarter profit, supported by growth in its gaming operations and igaming businesses. Second-quarter 2026 financial results show revenue increased 2 per cent year-on-year to US$828m, while net income climbed 26 per cent to US$120m. Adjusted EBITDA rose 9 per cent to US$383m, and diluted earnings per share improved 38 per cent to US$1.53.
Growth was driven mainly by the gaming division, where revenue increased 5 per cent to US$554m, led by an 18 per cent increase in gaming operations revenue to US$247m. Table products revenue rose 13 per cent to US$62m, while gaming machine sales declined 4 per cent to US$184m because of lower unit shipments ahead of new openings and expansion projects scheduled for the second half of the year. Gaming systems revenue fell 16 per cent to US$61m.
Igaming revenue increased 14 per cent to US$92m and adjusted EBITDA rose 18 per cent to US$33m. Wagers processed through the company’s Open Gaming System reached a quarterly record of US$31.3bn. SciPlay was the only business segment to record lower revenue, declining 9 per cent to US$182m amid weaker conditions in the social casino market.
Chief financial officer Oliver Chow added that the company would reduce the pace of share buybacks as it prioritises further debt reduction while continuing to invest in artificial intelligence and infrastructure.
