Kyrgyzstan gambling taxes reach US$5m in eight months

Kyrgyzstan collected KGS443m in gambling taxes between January and August 2026.

Kyrgyzstan.- Gambling taxes in Kyrgyzstan reached KGS443m (US$5.07m) in the first eight months of 2026, according to Ministry of Finance figures. Physical casinos generating the overwhelming majority of the revenue at KGS422.7m

Slot machines and simulators generated KGS13.9m (US$158,000), Sports betting and bookmakers KGS4m (US$45,000) and online and virtual casinos KGS2.8m (US$32,000).

Kyrgyzstan recently saw the creation of the Association of the Gaming and Entertainment Industry to represent licensed operators. Meanwhile, neighbouring Kazakhstan is planning new physical gambling zones, and Uzbekistan has begun issuing its first official betting licences.
